Michael Pruell brings nearly 20 years of experience in nonprofit finance, audit, tax, and advisory services to Wesley Housing. As Chief Financial Officer, he oversees all financial planning, implementation, and management, ensuring long-term financial health through the review and strengthening of business units to make the organization stronger.
Michael Pruell brings nearly 20 years of experience in nonprofit finance, audit, tax, and advisory services to Wesley Housing. As Chief Financial Officer, he oversees all financial planning, implementation, and management, ensuring long-term financial health through the review and strengthening of business units to make the organization stronger.
Before joining Wesley Housing, Michael spent nearly two decades at AAFCPAs, a leading accounting and consulting firm in New England, where he advanced from associate to partner. He specialized in serving community-focused organizations and advising on complex affordable housing financing tools, including HUD programs and federal and state tax credits.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Assumption University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts. He is active in several industry organizations including the American Institute of CPAs, the Massachusetts Society of CPAs, Strength Matters, and the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition, and serves on the board of WAY (formerly InnerExplorer).
